I was saved at the tender age of six years old. I have a goodly heritage and was raised in a Christian home all of my life. God has allowed me to be a fifth- generation preacher of the Gospel. My Dad was and is a traveling evangelist that helps small and struggling churches in America. I enjoyed traveling around with him and learned a lot. At six years old, I was not involved in gross sin. Yet, when the Holy Ghost convicted my heart, I saw myself as a sinner in need of a Saviour. There were many sleepless nights with a fear of dying without Christ in hell. I realized that the sin that I was involved in was just as severe in God's eyes as a murderer. We were at a church somewhere in the mountains of Tennessee on Sunday morning. I am not sure what was preached as far as the sermon that day, but I remember what the Holy Ghost was preaching to my heart. I went to the altar during the invitation and gave my heart and life to the Lord on October 13, 1991. What a wonderful day! God changed my heart and gave me a love for the church, his word, and lost souls. 

                In October of 1994, God began to impress upon me the call to preach. I am ashamed to say that I ran from the call of God, but God finally showed me that he only calls for so long. I surrendered to the call to preach in January Of 1995. At the age of sixteen, I enrolled in Bible college through my local church. I did not know in what capacity God would use me but I knew I needed training. The institute out of the church helped a lot and prepared me for what God had next. It was not long after I started training that God began to impress my heart to be a missionary. I learned my lesson from the call to preach and did not run but answered, "Here am I, Lord send me." I began to pray as to where God would have me be a missionary. God impressed upon my heart the nation of Mexico and specifically the southern region.

               As I began to do some research, the state of Puebla, Mexico began to captivate my attention. I spent much time in prayer about this place and felt impressed of the Lord to go and see the spiritual need firsthand. In September of 2005 my wife and I visited a missionary in Puebla City, Puebla. There we saw the spiritual darkness that plagues that area. God used many things that would take too long to list to show us that this where he wanted us. One of the things was the verse in I Corinthians 10:16 where Paul said, "To preach the Gospel in the regions beyond you,". That one phrase stuck out to me and that is exactly what our desire is to preach the Gospel in places beyond those here in America. I have no doubt that Puebla, Mexico is where God wants my wife and me.                                   

                 Speaking of my wife, I knew her ever since I was 10 years old. As we got older, a relationship developed and on June 24, 2004, we were married. My wife lived the life of a lost church member, but on June 4, 2006, God showed her that she was lost and she got saved. I thank God for his grace in that he still convicts some even though they may have thought for years that they were saved. God then blessed my wife and me with a little girl on March 24, 2006. Our daughter's name is Bethany. As far as other birth dates, my wife's birthday is 08-24-84, mine is 05-14-85. We now have a great desire to serve the Lord together as a family on the foreign mission field of Puebla, Mexico.
